Multitone to showcase its Smart Apps at British APCO 2014

February 2014

Critical communications specialist is also demonstrating its flagship i-Message unified messaging system, alerters and pagers on Stand H22, Manchester Central, 1st-2nd April 2014

Multitone, a specialist in the design, manufacture and implementation of integrated communication systems, has announced it will be attending the British APCO Show 2014 on 1st and 2nd April 2013 at Manchester Central. On stand H22 the company will be showcasing its new smartphone applications, which provide full voice and data communications services via its i-Message communications hub – offering a highly flexible, robust and reliable critical communications platform for the emergency services.

Emergency Services Sales Manager at Multitone, Jim Lanyon, comments, “Our new smartphone applications are designed to offer the emergency services with a new critical communications option which can be incorporated into existing smartphones, for a flexible approach that let’s teams use the system that suits them best. The new smartphone apps are also highly cost-effective as they can use existing hardware but also very reliable and intuitive to use.”

Lanyon adds, “The world of communications technology is evolving rapidly and organisations are feeling the pressure to adopt the latest technologies such as smartphones, touch screen tablets and Wi-Fi devices to improve vital communications. At British APCO 2014 we will be showcasing exactly how we integrate new smart technologies with existing platforms to provide the best in emergency communications.”

At the heart of this integration is Multitone’s flagship product, i-Message. It fully consolidates existing emergency service communications and data systems to offer a highly intuitive and usable, flexible, cost-effective and infinitely upgradable connectivity solution. i-Message provides users with access to greater control over the functionality of communications systems, with high visibility of communications traffic and clarity of use - which are essential for auditing purposes.

Multitone i-Message ensures that communications are only sent to those who are available and flags up those that are not. Users are fully aware of the status of a message - for example, that it has been delivered and acknowledged and situations are escalated where responses are not received. i-Message also specialises in offering a high degree of connectivity between different systems including telephones, smartphones and mobile devices and even building control systems such as CCTV, fire, equipment and burglar alarms.

Also on show will be Multitone’s range of pagers and alerters. Additionally, visitors to stand H22 can see demonstrations of how existing communication devices including touch screen tablets, smartphones and two way pagers can be integrated within an existing communications structure using Multitone’s products.
