Staff protection and communication solutions at Safety & Health Expo.
Staff protection is a pressing issue within business where a range of challenging situations are faced by employees everyday. If you have staff or contractors that work alone or spend periods of time unsupervised, it is necessary to protect them. We will be demonstrating our flexible, wireless staff protection system EkoTek and our new range of Polycom wireless telephones at stand J30, Safety & Health Expo on 11-13 May 2010.
Unsupervised or lone workers face the same health and safety dangers as other workers, however there are often additional or increased risks as they are unable to raise an alarm via colleagues. At the show Multitone will be demonstrating their lone worker and staff protection system, EkoTek, integrated with Polycom’s new range of IP wireless telephones. EkoTek has location and messaging capabilities, alerting staff to harmful situations. The new CH6010 and CH6020 DECT handsets can be used with EkoTek to provide a complete communication solution, providing staff protection and the ability to work whilst mobile around the workplace. Alarm messages received on the DECT handsets display clear, easy to read symbols so the user instantly knows an alert has been raised, speeding up response to incidents.
Multitone’s lone worker and staff protection system is suitable for a wide range of applications and industries, ranging from power stations, manufacturing sites, government sectors and care homes. Multitone’s free risk assessment can ascertain if staff are working in high-risk or isolated locations; if this is the case, it is vital that a worker can be found and colleagues alerted in case of a fire, illness, attack or an accident. When a member of staff needs to send a distress signal, Multitone can provide single-button alarms fitted with man-down features, which rapidly distribute alarm signals to multiple recipients.
For more information or to arrange a free site survey visit us at stand J30 in Hall 1 at Safety & Health Expo ‘10 at the NEC or call us on +44 (0)1506 418198. Whatever your staff protection and communication requirements, we have a range of products to meet companies’ needs.
