Stephen Gentry


Responsibilities for formulating the overall policy and development strategy for the Group’s operations. Stephen joined in 1988 as financial accountant of the UK operations, and has considerable experience working for the Group’s various European and American operations. He has been the Chief Executive of Multitone since 2003 and is a member of the Institute of Directors.

Ron Wray

Technical Director

Ron has responsibilities for overseeing Multitone's technical operations as well as developing the strategy for business investment in research and development. He joined the business in 1989 and has over 25 years of experience in the radio and the electronics industry and the Royal Navy. He is an associate member of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Managers and a member of the Institute of Directors.

Clive McGovern

Sales & Marketing Director

Clive has previously worked as a director for several US high technology businesses in Europe prior to joining Multitone in 2009. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Physics and further qualifications in finance, strategy and marketing. His business experience encompasses general management, sales and marketing in the Aerospace, Semiconductor and Electronic manufacturing sectors.

Phil Lawrence

Group Finance Director

Phil is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has worked in finance for over 30 years. He had worked in various companies ranging from large international companies in the world to SMEs (small medium enterprises) covering engineering, fast moving consumer goods, power, transport, care, warehousing and distribution before joining Multitone in 2008.

Frank Rotthoff

Managing Director Germany

Frank joined the Group in 2008 and has extensive experience in sales and marketing management in the electronics industry. His earlier career covered international sales of industrial machinery and process technology before entering the semiconductor sector in 1989. He was responsible for the sales organisation of a leading European distributor of electronic components before joining Multitone.

Ed Paterson

Operations Director

Ed joined Multitone in 2000, having previously worked for blue chip companies with roles in IT and Manufacturing.  He is a computer science graduate and member of the Institute of Directors. Ed initially joined Multitone in an IT role with a strong technology background, and he is now responsible for overseeing Manufacturing operations.
