Multitone certified to ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management

Multitone are pleased to announce that we have achieved ISO 14001:2015 certification, demonstrating our compliance with an internationally agreed standard for environmental management systems. This is a key milestone in Multitone’s developing strategy to minimise its environmental impact.

What is an environmental management system?

An environmental system helps organisation to identify, monitor and manage environmental issues relating to their operations via a clear formal structure. It requires an organisation to consider all of its potential environmental impacts, from their supply chain to waste management to carbon emissions, and embeds environmental considerations into strategic planning and processes throughout the business. ISO 14001:2015 also demands continual improvement and refinement of an organisation’s environmental management, with firm support from senior management.

By establishing clear structures and processes for environmental management within the company, we are able to establish and pursue a cohesive strategy for minimising our environmental impact. Our customers can feel assured that as a business, we take environmental issues seriously. In addition, by helping us identify and implement efficiencies, the system also brings the potential for cost savings that we can pass on to our customers. Furthermore, it helps us be prepared for inevitable future regulatory and technological changes as the UK aims for net-zero emissions by 2050.
