What information do we collect about you?
We collect information about you when you register with us or place an order for products or services. We also collect information when you voluntarily complete customer surveys, provide feedback and participate in competitions. Website usage information is collected using cookies.
How will we use the information about you?
We collect information about you to process your order, manage your account and, if you agree, to email you about other products and services we think may be of interest to you. We use your information collected from the website to personalise your repeat visits to our website. If you agree, we shall pass on your personal information to our group of companies so that they may offer you their products and services. Multitone Electronics PLC will not share your information for marketing purposes with companies outside the Kantone Group. In processing your order, we may send your details to, and also use information from credit reference agencies and fraud prevention agencies. We are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed. Your information we use for marketing purposes will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.
We would like to send you information about products and services of ours and other companies in our group which may be of interest to you. If you have consented to receive marketing, you may opt out at a later date. You have a right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes or giving your information to other members of the Kantone Group. If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please let us know.
Access to your information and correction
You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email or write to us at our registered address. We may make a small charge for this service. We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate. We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

What is a cookie?

We do not store information regarding your contact or enquiry details in the cookie, and this information cannot be accessed using it. Multitone´s cookies do not collect any information regarding the use of your PC or your Internet browsing in any way.

Does Multitone use Google analytics?
This website uses Google Analytics to help analyse how users use the site. The tool uses “cookies,” which are text files placed on your computer, to collect standard Internet log information and visitor behaviour information in an anonymous form. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) is transmitted to Google. This information is then used to evaluate visitors’ use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity for Sterilab.
We will never (and will not allow any third party to) use the statistical analytics tool to track or to collect any Personally Identifiable Information of visitors to our site. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. Neither we nor Google will link, or seek to link, an IP address with the identity of a computer user. We will not associate any data gathered from this site with any Personally Identifiable Information from any source, unless you explicitly submit that information via a fill-in form on our website.

Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement
Forced, bonded or compulsory labour, human trafficking and other kinds of slavery and servitude represent some of the gravest forms of human rights abuse in any society. We will not tolerate any such activities within our own operations or within our supply chain and are committed to taking appropriate steps to ensure that everyone who works for Multitone – in any capacity, anywhere in the world – benefits from a working environment in which their fundamental rights and freedoms are respected. While this is our first public statement addressing these issues in line with the requirements of the new UK Modern Slavery Act (2015), we have been focused on the rights and well-being of the people who work for Multitone – and for our suppliers – for many years.
Multitone Group is one of the world’s premium critical communications companies. Our business is connectivity: we build critical wireless communication systems that are used in 146 countries around the world. Our manufacturing is in Malaysia and the United Kingdom and we are aware that our supply chain includes countries that have been accused of questionable employment practices in the past and for that reason we have taken every reasonable measure that we can to ensure that our suppliers are free of any abuses of employees. Our supplier terms and conditions include specific clauses to this effect.
Beliefs and principles
We fully acknowledge our responsibility to respect human rights as set out in the International Bill of Human Rights. The IBHR informs all of our policies related to the rights and freedoms of every individual who works for us, either as a direct Multitone employee or indirectly through our supply chain. We are also committed to implementing the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights throughout our operations. Respect for the dignity of the individual – and the importance of each individual’s human rights – form the basis of the behaviours we expect in every workplace worldwide. We will not accept any form of discrimination, harassment or bullying and we require all of our managers to implement policies designed to increase equality of opportunity and inclusion for all Multitone employees. We have also developed and implemented policies and processes which are intended to extend these commitments through our supply chain. These include requiring suppliers to take measures to avoid any form of forced, bonded or compulsory labour (or any other kind of slavery or human trafficking) within their own operations.
Every supplier who works for us is required to sign up to and then abide by, terms and conditions. These commitments extend down through the supply chain, so that a supplier with whom we have a direct contractual relationship (a Tier 1 supplier) in turn bears the responsibility for ensuring compliance across their own direct supply chain (a Tier 2 supplier from Multitone’s perspective) and so on. We stipulate a range of ethical, labour and environmental standards that we expect to be followed across our supply chain including areas such as child labour, health and safety, working hours, discrimination and disciplinary processes.
- The specific requirements regarding forced labour risks make explicit reference to slavery and human trafficking:
- the Supplier shall not use any form of forced, bonded, compulsory labour, slavery or human trafficking;
- the Supplier’s employees shall be entitled to leave work or terminate their employment with reasonable notice. Employees shall be free to leave work after such reasonable notice period expires. All employment shall be voluntary;
- the Supplier shall provide each of its employees with an employment contract which contains such a reasonable notice period; and
- the Supplier shall not require employees to lodge deposits of money or withhold payment or place debt upon employees or require employees to surrender any government-issued identification, passports, or work permits as a condition of employment.

Policies - The Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Transfer of Funds (Information on the Payer) Regulations 2017.
Unlike certain other jurisdictions (notably the US and much of Europe), UK money laundering offences are not limited to the proceeds of serious crimes, nor are there any monetary limits. Financial transactions need no money laundering design or purpose for UK laws to consider them a money laundering offence. A money laundering offence under UK legislation need not even involve money, since the money laundering legislation covers assets of any description. In consequence, any person who commits an acquisitive crime (i.e., one that produces some benefit in the form of money or an asset of any description) in the UK inevitably also commits a money laundering offence under UK legislation.
As a result Multitone deliberately sets out to only deal with legitimate business organisations with a proven track record. Any new customer has to have a credit check carried out on them which includes obtaining historic financial performance data. Multitone also ensure that it complies with all tax legislation in the countries that is operates in and does not enter into any agreement with customers, suppliers, partners, dealerships or any other organisation that requires bribes, solicitation or extortion.
Evidence of ultimate company ownership and shareholders has been submitted to the company Bankers and to the independent auditors. The required declarations required by the USA for money laundering legislation purposes have been made.
