Multitone vandal and ligature resistant devices ensure the highest levels of service availability whilst meeting industry guidelines, including the IK Code (impact rating) for resistance to vandalism. Multitone works with customers and existing users, as we continue to enhance our offering, based on real-world feedback.
Throughout the product life cycle and at each stage, we complete rigorous in-house testing against industry standards to ensure the quality of our products. We recommend and support our clients as they complete their own in-house testing and risk assessment before the deployment of these devices. Customer-driven risk assessments are an essential responsibility for any organisation adopting these Multitone products to ensure compliance and compatibility with the project requirements, individual operating environments and internal governance.
Based on wireless, failsafe technology, our nurse call system can be installed quickly and economically as it doesn’t require expensive, disruptive mains rewiring, and offers unparalleled reliability – in the unlikely event of a repeater failing or staff not acknowledging the alarm, the message will be re-routed or escalated, ensuring alarms never go unanswered.
Multitone’s EkoCare nurse call solution has been designed to meet the requirements of the UK government’s Health Technical Memoranda (HTM) and Health Building Notes (HBN), meeting all the necessary radio, EMC and electrical safety standards.
Wall-mounted, hand-held and pull-cord (for bathrooms) nurse call units means you can raise the alarm wherever you are and the system will report your location to the relevant staff.
Wireless repeater units offer rapid installation, minimising costs as mains rewiring and ward closures are unnecessary.
Staff can communicate with each other for assistance or in the case of an emergency.
The solution can monitor all staff-resident contact – both alarmed and scheduled – and produce reports for management planning and relative reassurance purposes.
Portable units are robust, IP67 rated for water and dust resistance and include anti-microbial technology, helping to keep surfaces clean and hygienic, thereby reducing the threat of cross-contamination.
The solution is radio-based, delivering superior transmission and accuracy through our failsafe mesh network.
The hub is the system’s central control unit, displaying alarm messages, identifying users, their location and if needed sending messages to devices. Device management, history and configuration is also controlled through the hub via a PC interface and web browser.
The mesh network repeaters provide the overall network coverage and enable alarm location to be reported. For easy installation, the repeater is battery powered, offering up to 2 years’ operation; alternatively, the unit can be mains-powered. An anti-ligature variant is available.
This call-point repeater provides network coverage and enables alarm location to be reported, and also includes a red button for raising emergency alarms and summoning help to its location. For easy installation, the call point repeater is battery powered, offering up to 2 years’ operation; alternatively, the unit can be mains-powered. An anti-ligature variant is available.
The rechargeable portable alarm fob allows an assistance request or emergency alarm to be raised either through the user pressing a button (blue for assistance, red for emergency), or automatically through the dead-man (acknowledged by the grey button) or man-down features. Accurate location information is obtained from the repeater network and relayed to teams for immediate assistance. The unit is IP67 rated for dust and water resistance and made with antimicrobial materials.
The rechargeable Messenger is a multi functional device, capable of both displaying messages and generating an assistance or emergency alarm. Its multi-colour display shows alarms from other Messengers and call fobs (lighting up blue for assistance, red for emergency), and allows the user to accept the alarm and signal back to confirm that assistance is on its way. Users can also receive messages sent from the hub administrator. The unit is IP67 rated for dust and water resistance and made with antimicrobial materials.

We offer both individual and bulk-charging units for our alarm fobs and Messengers. Individual desk chargers allow users to charge their device at their desk so they can do so while still being able to view messages and receive alarms. Made with antimicrobial materials.
The EkoTek Ingress Protected Repeater is designed to operate outdoors and in humid indoor environments, such as spas, greenhouses, labs, breweries, abattoirs or industrial sites.
Wall-mounted within reach of the resident’s bed, the unit allows an emergency alarm or assistance request to be raised which, like those from portable units, is wirelessly delivered to staff Messengers via the hub. It can also be linked to an over-door alarm to draw attention to the resident’s room. The green button allows members of staff to signal their attendance. The unit may be battery or mains-powered and can be connected to a wired assistance button to enable bed-bound residents to call for help easily. Made with antimicrobial materials.
This hand-held button is connected via a cord to the EkoCare bed unit, allowing patients or residents to quickly call for assistance when required even if they are immobile.
This ceiling-mounted pull-cord unit is intended for use in bathrooms, ensuring help is always within reach.
Upon raising a patient call from a bed unit or hand held bed button, the nearest over-door alarm will illuminate with a simultaneous tone for alerting staff.
